and to makes things worse, they already took the money (Summit Racing), which is a bad practice, usually you only get charged once the back order item is back in stock and ships out.

I was told a couple of months ago after emailing one of the vps there that it was being redesigned and was taking a little longer than they expected. Just my .02

I backordered a White LED V2 Model (Center wired perfect fit, not a heated and bent straight 22") scanner from an Amazon seller in May 2013, and by Aug my order was canceled saying they were discontinued.

All I could find were yellow and green online after that.

I suspect that since the 2014 model year don't have the mail slot, that Oracle won't produce more of them since it's been more than 18 months since they sold out.

I ended up buying a 22" straight, and heat gun bending it myself, but would rather get the V2 style.

you go to pep boys or some other store to your area and buy two water proof strips and attach with 3m in the mail slot. that's what I did, it was cheaper, looks clean and no worries about breaking the scanner bar light if you over bend it . I bought two 12 inch strips and they fit perfectly. hooked them up to my side light so they turn on when the sensor goes off on the dash. sure you could hook up a switch if you wanted to as well

Did you get it to scan left to right like Knight Rider? That is what I am looking for.

If you buy a 24 inch flexible strip that has the side to side option then you would get that effect. I went with 2 -12 inch strips and they go back and forth and meet in the middle of the mAil slot. What's nice about these strips they are flexible and eaiser to use , just make sure you buy the water proof/ resistant ones and use extra 3m tape so they stay mounted
