Probably not. It'll be a bell curve. The 6th Gen will cause a lot of current 5th Gen owners to put their cars on the market. As more and more used cars hit the market and warranties begin to expire, the cars will start being modded by 2nd owners. That's the tipping point when these forums will explode. IMO the long 5-year/100,000 mile warranties these cars are equipped with bring this site's traffic DOWN. I expect it to really pick up now that 2010 and 2011 warranties are expiring.

When the cars start going to the 3rd owners and high school kids are picking them up, that's when the site goes to pot.

I feel it's already slowed down some compared to say a year ago, but it definitely will not die like some other forums. The 5th gen will be popular for a long time.

So if you have a 5th gen how is a 6th gen web board going to help you. So everybody here is selling there cars do to the next shiney object is across the hall. Some people will trade in, some people without a camaro at all will probably do both, Some 5ths might go there just to see whats up, but most will be here.

New cars take time for suppliers to catch up, specially when a cars suspension, drivetrain, body, lighting is all different. Think about the advertisers here that probably will have to take a severe budget hit or decide not even to venture into a 6th gen, just work on improving current product lines of the 5th gen. Plus all those 5th gens selling for 6th gens. Those used 5th gens go into another new 5th forum member. Who wants to personalize there car and learn from people who been doing it awhile.

You know its going to happen, lots of whining and complaining 6th gen owners wanting CAI's, Spoilers, Splitters, lowering springs, catback exhaust, etc, but not able to buy it, they will just make post after post how its not fair that they have to wait, blah blah blah

Look at us 14-15 guys there is stuff we can't get that the 10-13 guys can because vendors don't see the benefit for making something for a car that only ran production for 2 years.

I really wanted some flamethrower LED taillights so people behind me would go to bed with their eyeballs scorched into there brain with my taillight pattern from the stop light 2 days before. Friend has a set, everytime I get behind him its like looking into the sun.

Nah, Camaro5 will be around a long time, gamers have naturally short attention spans, thats why game forums turn into ghost towns a few months after a new hot title is released, car forum guys, not so much.
Besides, Im looking to get into a Gen5 SS myself, the sooner the better, I would be sad if the forums dried up after I did lol

I plan to keep coming. I love this site. I've learned a lot. I don't own a Camaro anymore, but I this site is a wealth of info.

There was enough 5th gens sold to keep this forum going for a long time. Would you believe they have a forum that is dedicated to the SN95 mustang (94-98) that's still going strong? It has more to do with how many cars are out there VS. the latest thing.
