2013s have the newer system and the app works with them, I think it's 2010-2012s the on-star app doesn't work on.

Saying 'maro. Well, that's one syllable saved. Has anyone ever actually measured the amount of time that saves? And your vocal system saves the wear and tear of a hard "C" sound. That could prolong your life. I guess. Or it may go the other way and the lack of exercising your vocal system causes it to deteriorate at a higher than average rate. Forcing you into therapy which will take more time than you saved.

This.....I have the app I can unlock camaro and my truck doors and start truck, flash lights honk horn on both etc without having to be on star subscriber. Good way to never lock keys in car! Don't know when this feature started tho.

You are correct, but he was asking about the App working without having an active Onstar subscription. Only the 14's and newer can have the Onstar App work to lock/unlock doors without an active subscription. It is free for 5 years from the time of the sale.
