Strong words from a forum sponsor trying to get sales from us...haters. lol

This reminds of a Michael Jordan story....

Michael was asked back in the late 80's why he didn't get into politics and support the Democratic party.....he just smiled and said "even Republicans by shoes".

I've owned numerous GM products of my last two one was a 2007 C6 Z51 and the other a 2012 Camaro SS AE. My current toy is a 2014 Mustang GT Track Pack that I may or may not replace with one of the newer offerings from Ford or Chevy.

Although obvious changes have been made to the Gen6 I for one am just tired of hearing all the Mustang this Mustang that bullshit. Hearing some of the rags say .5 seconds quicker 0-60 or almost a full second faster in the 1/4 gets old quick. Auto vs auto the Ford A6 just isn't on par with GM's A8 and the performance data shows that. When you compare the manual cars the only significant difference is the 2mph trap speed.

As a fan of the Camaro, Corvette, and Mustang, I would hope that every iteration had a performance increase and tech increase.

The only real complaint I understand are the bundles you're forced to purchase if you like only a couple pieces of it. I remember in the 4th gens, leather was an a la carte option for $500. If you want leather now, you have to buy a trim level that bumps the price by $5,000. It's insanity. I guarantee many 1SS owners would want leather for $500-$1,000 extra.
You have an excellent point. If I could have gotten a 1SS with leather for the same price that I'm buying my 2LT for ($38k msrp) I probably would have done it.

I was born a GM guy into a GM family but I've always appreciated and admired cars from any company if I thought it was cool, had good performance or a style that was to my fancy. I'm a diehard fan of GM but I'm not a blind fanboy who berates a competitive brand just because for the sake of it or looks down on newer models that may be better than my own.

I'm definitely gonna look into a new 6 Gen Camaro for sure.

Lol, not hating on 5th gen guys. We had a 2010 2SS/RS and loved it. We preordered it way back in 2009. Aesthetically, it was awesome. It was a mean looking car. Also, the LS3 was an awesome engine. But, you have to also think, 4th gen guys were hating on the 5th gen for legitimate AND ridiculous reasons. As I said, this is a common theme. Mustang guys do it. Corvette guys do it. The WRX guys did it.

The manual cars were just compared head to head. Where are you getting 2 mph? It's nearly 5.

Or are you using the age old technique of comparing private owner times of a car that has been out to mag times?

These were tested together... Nothing to argue about here.

Throw in a base GT and gain a tenth. Still getting spanked.

A couple years ago when truck shopping I found out about these guys. Was told the leather is far better than GM's version & lower cost. Ended up buying a different vehicle, but this may be worth looking in to for those that want leather on a 1SS. http://katzkin.com/

something to think about:

The Camaro Disciples - all 15 of them...gave us boxes to check with the new Camaro. YOU gave them the boxes -and they passed them on to us.

We checked every one of them except for the 1,000 horsepower box....... from memory seating and a cool lightshow to manually adjustable exhaust systems (dual mode) using electronics to adjust the exhaust note......from cooled seats to a much improved interior....from weight savings to additional accessories and performance parts.............the list goes on and on............

Drive the new car - look it over -- and I think you'll agree. We checked all the boxes.

Scott, I love all that you guys do for the Camaro community, and I truly appreciate and know that you guys listen to the fans. 1,000 horsepower should be saved for the 7th gen SS

You have truly been an asset to the longstanding fans.

I'm getting a 2SS with MRC, Performance exhaust, A8, and Navigation. You guys seem to have hit this one out of the park

Also, congrats on retirement - enjoy it.

And I don't know that I would have picked the V8 even if I had the option.

I just have to keep reminding myself that I don't need the V8. I can't drive like that guy who was thrashing that black SS around the race track.

I'd love to learn how but, I'm not going to destroy my car doing it.

The sound of the LT1 is so intoxicating I keep wondering if I should have. I know that I'm going to love the V6 and that ultimately I made the right decision for my daily driver..... Its just that little nagging doubt that sticks in the back of the mind.

I agree with this as well. Maybe "hating" is just the fun word to use. It even goes as far as owners of the same car fighting manual vs automatic.

I LOVE this Gen6!!!

I am not hating, just have a special attachment to my 5th gen. I think many do.

That said, from what has come out so far, the Gen6 is really a better car in about every way. No debate. Maybe on looks, but not any other way.

Cannot wait to see some videos of this car on a track and new owners taking delivery!!!!

Maybe my next car, but "Christine" is never going anywhere, that lady is a keeper. Now maybe she gets a forged setup.....etc
