Oil pressure test
Where can I tap in to do an oil pressure check? Reading low oil pressure at hot idle so trying to do a test.

I bought one of these. Its an oil pressure sensor relocation kit with a mechanical gauge before the sensor. I bought this after my oil pump died. I didnt know whether to trust the gauge saying I had no oil pressure, or assume my sensor just went bad. Since the gauge is before the sensor, it will tell you if you have oil pressure or not.

Thank you that looks like that will work. I think my oil pump is failing at normal operating temps im running like 12-15psi at idle.

* I would say your psi is fine unless you've been running at a higher number and now suddenly your running much lower. Might be an issue there. * I like the set up that 376LS3 has. I'm thinking of doing the same thing. It's worth it for the peace of mind. |

Thanks for the reply. At cold startup I'm at 30-32 psi at idle once warm drops to 12-15psi. Once I tap the gas it shoots right up to 30psi. Will definitely look into 376LS3 set up
