I got a set of snow tires from another car that we sold recently, and I'm trying to make a few bucks off them to offset the cost of some new rubbers for my ss. I've had these things listed on social media, Craigslist, hell even here, and no bites.

Anyone know of any places that buys used tires or something? Preferably in the NJ/NY/CT area. They're Michelin snow tires with at least 3/4 tread left on steelies, so they gotta be worth a good chunk of change.

What car were they off of? Try that specific forum. If you have no bites, maybe your price is a little high??? If you want to get rid of them, price them to sell.......

Member's Classified forum. Advertise them for "local pick-up or delivery". Someone near you must need some good snows.

I had the stock pzeros with 2k miles up on the classifieds for a while got a lot of traffic and interests but nobody ever fell through on it. I put it up on an app called offer up and got them off my hands for 450.

Craigslist. You'll have them sold locally by this afternoon, for your asking price.

This site also has a section to buy/ sell wheels/ rims/ tires, but finding somebody local is a lot more difficult.

Don't sell them to a used tire dealer... you will only get 20% of what you will get otherwise.

I buy/ sell used tires regularly (not as business, but I own quite a few cars that all get the piss driven out of them). Most of my transactions have been through Craigslist, but some though C5.

Have em up for 350 including steelies, they've been on CL for a while now. Posted them here as well but the size/rims don't our cars. I thought that would be a fair price, but maybe not? Really trying to avoid ebay at this point but it's looking bleak and I need new rubber soon lol

They came off an 05 Volvo s40. I've debated joining a forum, but i figured for sale rules may rule me out (50 posts minimum, membership duration, etc). Maybe i'll try a few facebook groups.

I listed mine on Craig's list but also on my Southern Nevada Camaro Club FB page. Ended up giving another club member a GREAT deal on my old rims and tires.

Ive seen your post about these tires. You can try a gas station that sells tires. I knew one that did so worth a shot. Of course if they do you may feel like its a lowball offer.

Also most ppl already got their set for the season so you are working with a smaller potential of buyers. Might be sitting on these for awhile.

Craigslist is the first attempt, you may sell them there with the least amount of trouble and cost.

If that fails....ebay although you will probably have to ship them.

OR... There may be places close to you that will give you a few bucks for your tires, but I don't know. Places like Goodyear, Firestone, sell used tires around here but I imagine they are ones they took off of customers' cars, so they know about the condition and road-worthiness. You won't get much for them, that's for sure.
