Correct Blendmount to order?
All,
I don't have the car yet...putting in the order Tomorrow probably. Can anyone tell me which Blendmount to purchase? Basically, I just need you to tell me from my link below which rear view mirror is on the 2SS Coupe...not sure if Chevy is using different mirrors for different models or options. https://store.blendmount.com/all-che...ors-c1852.aspx THANK YOU so much in advance. |

Just looking at it, it looks like the Blendmount ID#-CHE-007 is the one you should grab.

The CHE-007 is the correct one. Installed that mount on Thursday afternoon in a 2SS.

MirrorTap, Radar Detector Power Cord With Inline Fuse,Chevrolet,Mirror ID-CHE-007 For Use with AUTO DIMMING Mirrors SKU: MT-2012 was it fairly easy to determine switched power? trial and error with a multimeter or did you find install instructions on internet?

I'm using non-switched off the mirror. Sadly, my multi-meter only had enough battery for me to verify +12V and so I used that. The wires are red with a white strip and black, if I remember correctly. If you find +12V switched in the bundle, I'm interested in knowing what they were.
And yes, that is the MirrorTap cable I used. The pins are a bit difficult to get into the connector. If you've got a jeweler's screwdriver that might help by pressing the crimped side of the connectors down to get a little bit of room.
