Loud Mouth 2

Hopefully this is the correct area of the forum?! If someone could assist me that would be greatly appreciated. I have a 2010 2SS 6M w\L/T's, HF cats, stage 3 cam (same as Kaotic). I had muffler delete & loved the level of noise; but, I had neighbors whining and alarms going ôff as my beast would start.... Neighborhood alarm clock!

I took the muffler delete off, and replaced with Flow Master 40. These sound okay. Not to my taste. I have a great opportunity to get a Loud Mouth 2 axal back kit for about nothing.

Would anyone know if changing to Loud Mouth2 would be worth it?

Are there any videos or audio clips that someone may have with these mufflers and similar performance modifications as I have?

I have looked vigorously, yet have not found any sound clips with my combination & Loud Mouth 2's. Maybe someone out there could assist me.

I think I've seen videos on YouTube for Loud Mouth 2 on a Camaro.

LM2

Your right there are many videos on the you tube sight; but the majority of them are Loud Mouth 1 clips, have horrible audible, or do not have the same or similar modifications that I have. I was just hoping that someone may have had a link for a sound clip, or experience to share concerning this.

Well I've yet to see a youtube video for exhaust that had even decent sound to get an idea of how the exhaust systems sound. Sorry I couldn't help out much. mine's still stock.

I had loud mouth 2's on an otherwise stock C5 Vette. They were loud, yes, but they made my car sound like a boat. My guess is that the LMs will sound very similar to the muffler delete you had and you seemed to like that.

I have the GM perf exhaust on my 1LE, and I've pulled the fuse on it. Sounds much better than the LMs on my old Vette, in my opinion. Its still loud enough to set off car alarms if you want it to be :-P

Everytime I've heard youtube clips of catbacks on a car with headers, cam, etc they all start to sound the same to me, but maybe that's just the quality of the videos, but a car with just a catback, yes, then you can hear the difference in the videos.

Thank you! That sounds a heck of a lot better than the Flow Master's that I currently running!

It will be slightly less louder than the muffler deletes, less raspy, and less tinny as well (had flowmasters on mine, hated the sound, basically got the same deal as the LM2's and sounds great)

I have the Loud Mouth 2 on my SS since September of 2009. It has a low tone muscle car sound. It isn't that loud, but has a nice rumble to it.

Thanks for the in put! I went ahead and got then from a buddy of mine who changed a customers exhaust from stock to LM2 to LM1, he never got paid for the work; therefore, I bought them for a very loud price. They were talking up room in his shop... So I gave him a offer.

I had a LM 2 on my Camaro SS. Definitely louder than stock, but not as loud as muffler delete. I didn't have any other mods (other than CAI). My neighbors definitely knew when I left for work in the morning, but they said it wasn't too loud. I would recommend it.

Thanks for your input! I got them today. As I examined them, it looks like a glass pack inner design. If I don't care for the sound, if i want it louder, I think I could remedy this with water & heat. From the advice Camaro5 colleagues have sent me and the few video clips that I have found \been sent... I believe there LM2's will be 100℅ louder at idle than the Flow Master mufflers I am running now.

Over all, thanks again!
