The fan on high was enough to blow it off as well. Otherwise it solved the issue. If I dont like how it looks sitting up there in the end. I will just buy some black foam weatherstrip at home depot and block the defrost vents. Cost a couple bucks a year to deal with. If you park your car in winter just leave it that way permanently.

In all honesty there are a few of ways to think about this issue. First, you can lemon law your car any time you want because as it sits right now they can't fix it because it's a design flaw. Second, we could start some type of class action law suite and get the nhsta/dot involved, after all it does obstruct the windshield after all and there is not yet a way to fix it. Add to that, zero other cars do this, it's just an improperly designed flap/seal not normal operation. As an engineer, this is pretty sad performance, and I will bet piles of money there are internal documents/emails about the issue. I discovered it the first day of ownership, don't tell me somebody didn't bury it deep during years of r&d. Probably had a timeline to meet, and didn't want to spend the money/time for redesign.... like a recall taking the dash apart will be cheaper on 100k+ units .

The last thing is you can just take action yourself and fix it. That's my intention I like the car and want to keep it. My 11 silverado has a similar problem, the ac comp wouldn't come on below freezing temps to dry the air which is critical as most know. So essentially, the truck had no defrost and blew warm wet air on the windshield. Many mornings I had frost inside the windshield.

This is truly getting ridiculous , nothing against you my man ...Chevy needs to step up !!!! PLease send PM to Chevy rep in this thread !!!

Because this site is owned by an individual, not a business and those that have been mods for a long time are not as active anymore. Since it is volunteerism keeping this site going, while the owner racks in the vendor cash that far exceeds his 20$/month VPS hosting bill, the site needs fresh blood to keep up with maintenance.

I'm about ready to burn my data on this site. It isn't secure at all, no encryption, database and software are 2-3 years out of date.

Yes, this site needs more admins and mods for sure. I was a mod on LS1Tech for over a decade and offered my help, but they seem content with how it is. This is a good site, and will get busier as they make and sell more and more 6th gens. But, it has the potential to be much, much better with just a little work and some upgrades...

Same here. Happened as I drove off the lot.

I'm with you guys. Just give me the ability to move/merge threads. I don't want the responsibility of suspending/banning people. Just want to help.

I am having the same issue since beginning but it was worst yesterday night, couldn't see out front. Researched here and already found this thread.

I'll be sending PM.

I think it's needed at this point. Not a peep from GM.
