Was wondering the same thing. Looks as if the upper corner of the seat is either bearing a load when getting in or out and it's pulling down on the seat cover.

Thread title is deceptive unintentionally... I have this EXACT SAME PROBLEM and was thinking about how i would make my forums post about it. I am ready to give my car up at this point for something else.

IT IS BEARING A "LOAD" because people park like fking morons, or some people have a smaller garage. I SUSPECT this wouldnt happen if I had a porsche cayman. You of course use the seat for leverage, does not justify what happens though on a 43k car(for me )

Oh wait whats up? My entire window is fogged up because the defrost vent is active when i have AC on? I have to put a "MOUSE PAD" over it? That's SO professional and deserves CAR OF THE YEAR!!!

One more thing. Just one more fking thing with this car and I am done. I appreciate that people will think I'm just blowing steam and I certainly am, but yeah. Whatever,

I don't think you're just blowing smoke. Reading about all the mild to wild proplems with this new car keeps driving another nail in the coffin for me wanting one. I know it's going to be a few more years at this point until I see quality improve.

Guy came to an autocross with a 1SS with just a few thousand miles on it. Seat was doing the exact same thing. I'll be looking to get a Recaro car for sure.

BTW I'm a big dude and none of my cars has ever done anything like that.

Mellow out! No one condoned what it is doing, just trying to determine how it is being used that may be contributing to it. It's apparent from your posts that you are dissatisfied with your car but you don't have to take it out on everyone else. If it's that bad let it go, find something else you might appreciate more.

Same thing is happening to mine. Although not quite as bad. That spot is where I place my hand while getting out of the vehicle (pushing my fat a$$ up). I've been trying to consciously stop doing it but it's a bad habit. I think the coverage there is thin with no padding and there are parts directly underneath causing it to wear prematurely. I've said this before, and I really do hate to dig on GM, but the overall quality in this car is not great. Performance is awesome but not quality, IMO.
