Blew out O2 sensor

So Saturday on the way home, did a quick pull through 2nd and 3rd gear and then I heard a loud bang and what sounded like an exhaust leak. Turns out somehow the rear 02 sensor on my JBA high flow cats decided to fly out. Only thing I can guess is that the weld wasn't the best. I planned on getting headers in a few months, guess I'll be getting them sooner than that. Anyone else seen this happen before?

That's a new one. How long have you had those? I'd bet jva would be interested to hear this.

That's crazy. I'd definitely contact JBA and see what they have to say about it

Been on the car since around March this year, about 5k miles, I bought them brand new from someone on here that never installed them. I emailed them about it, I'll let you all know what they say. I was surprised to say the least.

So they said that they would replace the one side for $150, they haven't seen anyone else have the same problem. They stated that something must of hit it in order to cause that, which I know for a fact nothing has hit anything under the car. Seeing that's going to cost half of what my headers will be, I'll just be going the header route.

Do you have any pictures from when you installed or before damage? I'd be curious if there's Any signs at that point.

Seems like they're offering a slight discount to replace the one. That's disappointing but I've never installed anything like that second hand so I'd be much more upset if i bought a set of those and had a failure like that.

Yup, it was smacking the bottom of the car the whole way home. Wasn't thrilled about that.

No before pictures, but they were brand new, never installed. Definitely good customer service, I wasn't expecting them to give me any kind of discounted price.
