Ok, so this is only for the A8 cars, the M6 cars don't have the AFM system I take it.

i removed these sections of my exhaust awhile back and promptly got several codes and a cel. Tim sent me a couple of pre final production simulators. i plugged them in and drove around for about 10 minutes and all the codes cleared. they work exactly as advertised.
great job Tim!! I cant wait to see what other cool stuff you come up with. |

Parish8,
I'm glad to hear the modules are working for you. Thank you for the supportive feedback! As soon as this design has reached final production status I will be working on something that should really interest those that are in the "no tune" camp. It will be pretty slick in how it works and how the user interfaces with it. But that is all I can say. I may be going for a patent on this one. Here is a picture of the first production set. These are fully potted with electronics epoxy so moisture will not be an issue.

I have over 200 miles on my car and all is well. codes are gone.
after I removed my valves my dod still worked for a couple of days. you could barely hear the difference when it kicked in and out. the tire noise and wind noise are louder than the exhaust noise. this is with the stock npp exhaust and the valves closed. I can see wanting to keep the dod active, why not. |

Hello Tim,
Nice work! Just a question: is there a possibility to burn the valves racing a Camaro (with NPP exhaust, non aftermarket) as Corvette owners complaint? If yes, will be a solution to plug your module when racing with the car, and unplug it the rest of time? (here the AFM solution is not useless due to gas prices). Thank you! |

I have not heard of any Camaros having the issue the C7 guys do. The actuators are the same part number. Either there just aren't enough Camaros racing or the placement on the Camaro is better. Even if that issue is not a concern for the Camaro these modules will allow you to utilize any aftermarket exhaust system even if the manufacturer does not support the AFM valves. AFM support is a very pricey option. Simply grounding the actuators on a dummy mount will not prevent CELs.
The upcoming revision will allow operation when AFM is active so no need to unplug if that were your use case. Ideally it would have been just a software change in the existing module but I had to add additional circuity that forced a PCB change. Hello Tim, I have an A8 2SS and decided to go with a full system. I went with the Stainless Works catback (npp) but I didn't get the $400 option that includes AFM valves. So I have a P069E code being thrown. Do you know if these Valve Delete Module Set's will fix this issue?

Save your money.
Just unbolt the 3 bolts from the black electronic portion of the values. Zip tie them up in a secure location after reconnecting them and your codes will go away.
