Real Diff Axle Seal

So, I'm needing help trying to figure out why I found an o ring on one side of the differential and not the other. Recently I dropped the cradle to swap out the rear diff bushings (that was fun), and when I was putting in the drivers side axle, I noticed an o ring inside of the differential...I must have pushed it inside of the diff when I stuck a rag in there to keep dirt from getting the diff. After I had it all back together I thought to myself, I dont remember seeing an o ring on the passenger side. So I took the passenger axle back out and there was no o ring. So long story short, I have an o ring on one side and not the other.
