Adjusting clutch engadgement

is it possible to adjust the clutch pedal so that it engages closer to the floor?

not adjustable. If the engagement point is off, you have to fix what's wrong. Such has bleeding or changing the slave. If the clutch ever overheated, the fluid and slave could be messed up.

Yep, bleeding should do the trick.
When you press on the pedal you must sense a little resistance after an inch of travel at the most like the pedal is doing something, if you push it almost halfway and you don't feel like it's doing anything you have to bleed it.
