Well, that logic could be applied to almost any modification not performed to the car. However, said components weren't in the vehicle's design theory, as it was not seen as essential/cost benefitial for the build.

Regardless of what the perception may be, this was not an unlimited budget car, we had budget constraints to operate within, and did the best we could for the budget provided. You'd be surprised how quickly you run through that amount of money at this level of quality.

I see the picture now! :-)

And actually, at the 1200hp setting, I would imagine more weight would help with traction. So if I come to you guys in a few years, could you do all of the engine/drivetrain work for ~$100,000?

It wouldn't be near $100,000, I promise you that much (i.e. much cheaper).

Quick video of idle and a quick drive off, the car idles like stock, absolutely incredible...

Why the $140K pricetag then? Could you do a rough itemization?

No Boost Guage on the inside? On a car like this i wouldn't expect one mounted in the A-pillar but at least a little digital readout somewhere. On that note can we get some pics/ video of the interior?

Consider this;

(all values are approximations)

- Labor: 450-500 hours worth (at $95.00 an hour)
- Tuning: A business week worth (at $1,000.00 a day)
- Vehicle cost: $38,000.00
- Drivetrain parts cost: $60,000.00
- Turbocharger system parts cost: $10,000.00
- Suspension parts cost: $5,400.00
- Braking parts cost: $8,000.00
- Wheels and tires parts cost: $7,500.00
- Fueling parts cost: $4,000.00
- etc.

Those are obviously rough approximations, but aren't that far from the truth.

It adds up quickly, and you begin to see how much of a deal we cut for NZ1200 Camaros. If we charged a fair amount for our work, it would be very close to $200,000.

No need, the vehicle has overboost protection, and all Eric needs to be concerned with is what power setting he's in on the Variable Power on Demand switch, not what boost the engine is operating at.

Obviously, for a data whore customer (such as myself), we offer data acquisition options. In Eric's case, he could care less. A random boost gauge on the A-pillar would ruin the interior, to be perfectly honest.

The interior is 100% stock, minus the Variable Power on Demand switch. I'll take a video for you illustrating how simple it is to use.

For Dalefj...

A quick demonstration video, nothing pretty or too in depth;

It does sound like quite a deal! Oh if only I were rich now! I plan to be in the future but till then I think you guys will be out of the 14 NZ1200's...

Damn... That's about $132,900 in Vehicle costs and parts alone!

There will be only 13 NZ1200-EB (Eric Berry edition) Camaros available for purchase, maximum. National Speed NZ1200 itself is always available.

And trust me, that's not including all the extra components that went into this car. Lines, fittings, random OEM parts, wiring supplies, modules, etc.

As previously stated, it's pretty ridiculous what the end consumer gets for the money invested. The performance:dollar ratio is insane.
