Clay Bar on windows? Yes or no?

Will this work...don't want to mess anything up, but my windows are a mess with stuff stuck to them.

I do. Just make sure you use plenty of lube.

ABSOLUTELY!! Always clay your glass, you have to figure the stuff that stuck to your paint (overspray, bug guts, sap, etc) didn't avoid your glass... if its on the paint, its on the glass too.

Honestly, I clay my glass almost 2x as frequently as I do the rest of my ride just b/c its stuff you can see, especially when the sun is coming thru at a steep angel.

After a bar has been used a few times on paint I retire it to glass use, since it won't scratch glass (even if its really dirty) its a good way to get extra miles out of your claybar when its no longer safe to use on the paint.

You won't hurt a thing. CLAY AWAY!!

More lube is always better when you are putting it on something as hard as glass!!!!

I had a couple of spots on my sunroof that I had decided were scrapes rather than dirt. I had tried cleaners, clay bar, razor blades ect and it didn't change. I had talked to a local detailer and he gave me some 0000 steel wool with severe warnings about not letting it anywhere near paint or molding and only to using it on external glass.

The steel wool removed the scrapes in a few seconds. Really tough water spots take a couple of swipes.

It's my tool of last resort just because of how careful I am when I use it. If the claybar doesn't work and the spots aren't close to the edge of the glass, you might want to give it a try.

Dylan already gave the best and most complete answer you can.

May I add that you don't have the chance or marring your glass like you do paint - so it's much safer than claying your car

Awesome, thanks so much everyone. I had no idea why this thought never occurred to me until just this morning.

I'm going to clay tonight and see how it goes!
