Is this weird? or is it me?

I took my CAI off because I had to take it in for reprogramming of the BCM, I know I didn't have to, but I don't want the dealership to blame the CAI for anything... anywho, I feel the car is a bit stronger with the Factory intake. Is that just me or has it happened to anyone else?

I had the CAI for about 2 months now, I also had it tuned by ******* with the diablo sport.

any thoughts?

Not necessarily. I had a 2004 Cobra that actually lost power on the dyno with some filters. Not all Cold Air Intakes actually make power. Some rob it.

especially in hotter climates. if you have an alumunim tube, and its HOT out, it can asctully heat up the air, where as some of the plactic tubes maintain the temp's more constant. Thats the info I have recieved from a very reputable turner.

It is possible

Check out GM High Tech Performance's website for an older tech article on their CAI testing. The stock unit actually came in number 2 in performance against some of the top brands - it just isn't as sexy or loud as the others.

I'll have to try this when I get a chance. My CAI makes my car seem a bit faster (probably in my head) but I did notice a big difference in throttle response. Half the delay is gone with my CAI vs the stock intake. That alone makes it worthwhile to me.
