American racing or Kooks headers?
I will be purchasing headers soon. I am wondering whice brand do you prefer and why? Did you get 1 3/4 or 1 7/8? Thanks for the help!

Although I'm already decided on Kooks:
Has anybody ever had both of them directly compared on a dyno on the same car, to answer this question? I guess I already know the answer....

I went with OBX longtubes. Stainless headers at half the price of the major brands!

Which ever way you go, get them ceramic coated. Even the best stainless header will turn ugly brown on you. Plus, keeps underhood engine temps way down.

As for the headers, they are both great quality. I went with ARH 1 7/8". The fit and finish was excellent, they went on easy, and ARH has great customer service.

They are both good headers. I went ARH uncoated. I like the gold look and the underhood temps are fine, alot of room in there.

Love my 1 7/8 Kooks from Maryland speed. Easy to install, with the Kooks I did not have to disconnect the steering shaft.
