I think your onto something there with the tank. Everything else should keep up with fuel flow. I have wondered the same myself, but no one has really looked into that. Then again gm never planned on putting 500 ponies through a v6.

Well IPS has the gages installed and testing the fuel system in the morning to make the determination, per Jeff on the fuel flow.....

Cool! I've left messages with ZZ Performance and PT Performance to see if either can help with a HPFP solution. The symptoms sound a light like what the Cobalts and Mazda Speed 3s experienced. Evidently it isn't the pressure so much as the volume drops off in the mid range because it is mechanical. I saw a right up of why. Vince did the same thing others have tried, namely turning up the pressure and widening the pulse down low and that just ran into problems up high. Of course you saw what happen with yours. I've got a few other ideas if Jeff doesn't come up with anything. Good luck man, I want to see 500 RWHP out of your car!

Well, piston landing is going to be a weak point but maybe ok as long as there is no detonation... but when you start pushing close to 500 RWHP, my guess is the rod bolts will let go... that is my guess of the day! LOL

mines a NX kit (75 shot)
havent got on the dyno yet because i need to find someone to tune me and there are no trifecta tuners around... i dont wana do it myself, just dont feel comfortable with that

Isn't a big deal at all. Vince emails you the tune. You follow step by step program instructions. Datalog a few, and send back. Mine didn't need any adjusting at all. You just tell him all mods you are dealing with, and he does the rest.
