Mother-in-law's doing the turkey and ham and we're going to her house. Not sure the size, but it's usually dang good! Genuine southern cooking is awesome!

Ritual is USUALLY eat at noon, the women scheme about Black Friday, and guys move into the TV room, plop down on the couches, unbutton the top button of the pants, take the "Al Bundy couch position" and enjoy the football games.

After the turkey itself, cranberry sauce (no berries- yuk) and the sage-laden stuffing are tied for my second-most favorites.

FWIW, we had a 23 pounder last year when we hosted...

Reeeeal big. Stuffing is my shit, but riced potatoes take the cake. If you've never had riced potatoes, you just boil some potatoes and push them through a ricer. They soak up gravy like no other. Oh my god I'm getting hungry.

Won't that clog the grille pushing them through a ricer? Do the potatoes come with wings and a fart can?

Not a fan of turkey.

I'll be making a bacon explosion instead.

We are doing "parts is parts" thing this year. Just a breast and a bunch of thighs for the dark meat peeps! Last Christmas we deep fried a turkey in an electric fryer outside in a snow bank, it really was the best turkey ever!

We’re cheating this year. We have a pick up time of 11am at Cracker Barrel for our food. We did this before, a few years ago, and it was real good.

Wow, we got a baby...13 lbs. Gonna brine it again this year, makes it sooo juicy. There are only 6 of us, so we should be fine, especially since everyone wants to make something. My favorite is green been casserole.
