Now if you took both lines off used new fluid on the pull side and watched the return side until it was clean fluid, that might work...

Thx for the reply, I'm only afraid of letting the trans run low on oil while the old oil comes out. I'm planning to use a hose and a funnel at the fill hole, just like a dipstick, so that I can fill the trans while watching the old fluid to become clean. I'm Brazilian and it's impossible to find those dipsticks around here, and if something goes wrong, I'll be in a BIG $$$ trouble. It's U$ 20k for a trans job and U$ 100k for a new Camaro SS, just for comparison. . So I'm afraid.
Anyone did this procedure?
What was the results?
If the trans runs low on oil just for a few seconds or minutes, is it dangerous?
Thx in advance.

I'm not gonna use the return line to fill the trans, but a hose to the fill hole and a funnel. Do you think it's ok? Any info is welcome.

Can someone tell me where I can find a drain pan that has the quart lines? I seriously can't find one!

Hello havelegs, I'd recommend going to a kitchen/home store to find that type of measuring bowl/pan/container.

What happens if you turn off the car with the "level check plug" off?
