I have it and love it. Just short enough for me, and it's a nice little added touch that is worth the money considering it's covered by GM.

I was on the first production week (TPW 8/23) and waited extra for the factory Hurst.

This is correct. The factory Hurst reduces the throw by 22%, the Hurst Billet/Plus 2 reduces throw by 44%.

I have it on mine and like it, but don't have anything to compare it to. I consider it a worthwhile option considering your getting a performance product on your build sheet and not doing any of the labor.

I've driven cars with stock shifter, factory hurst, & billet hurst.

1) factory hurst - much better feel than stock
2) stock shifter - not a fan
3) billet hurst - looks cool but overall feel sucks

Where did you guys purchase it from? I called my local dealer and they said they dont know anything about it

thats because your dealer can't order it yes as a dealer installed item. The demand has been too high with customers ordering them with their cars that dealers will have to wait until that demand settles
