Roto-fab CAI owners...

We've had several inquires lately about the Roto-fab V6 CAI system. It seems many are interested in our system, but would like to read more feedback from end users before purchasing.
If you have our system please take a moment share your thoughts with the other C5 members.

Yeah true because I will be buying one soon. I am wondering if they are loud or if they make the exhaust sound different. Also do they have to be retuned after installation or is it just a simple bolt on and play.

20 minute install, noticeable performance increase, noticeable sound, somewhat like a 4 barrel. No whistling sound heard inside the car. Money well spent.

It is a "plug and play" system that does not require tuning. We designed the MAF sensor housing to very closely match the stock LTFT for great performance right out of the box.
Yes, our intake does affect the sound of the car-both through the exhaust and under the hood. It's not a loud, annoying sound-it's a powerful sound that makes you think of 4 barrels opening on an older car. (I saw that posted by someone else, but it is a very accurate way of describing the sound)

def not disappointed in my decision on the ROTO-FAB intake the overall performance has improved and the sound coming out of the engine bay sounds like there is a freaking lion hiding underneath the hood!! GET ONE SOON lol

It was a fairly easy install. Even though I had to install the housing around the filter twice. The first time was pitch black and I didn't screw it down tight enough so the hood wouldn't close. In the day light the next day I could see much better. The install took about an hour to complete.

At low speeds with the windows down I can hear sucking in air. At WOT it does have a more noticeable growl coming from engine. The exhaust note sounds the same to me. There are no noticeable increases in performance. If someone says they can feel a difference in TQ or horse power it's all in their head.

Overall I'm very pleased with fit and finish of the product, but seeing is this is my first CAI I've installed I don't have anything to compare it to.

I am curious about feedback on this as well. We do see an increase in MPG with our G8 V6 system which is a similar motor. For the Camaro, we haven't performed extended driving tests with both to come up with solid numbers.
Hopefully one of our intake owners has a long commute to/from work and monitors MPG closely.
Even though I personally drive a V6 car, my driving habits dictate my mileage more than anything!

This is on my to-do list and Roto-Fab is where I'm buying. Just waiting on the w4 to do the taxes to get that tax return to buy the CAI that Roto-Fab built!
How about another group buy? Anyone game?
I have a 50 mile round trip to work and I'll help you get some mpg data if you're still looking. (once the snow and ice is gone and I'm driving the Camaro again of course).

That's awesome! We have lots of snow and ice here too. Just plowed the driveway today then hand shoveled up to the garage door as if I was getting the car out...not!
Yes, we will be having a tax sale soon. We've already had several questions about it and we are anxious to get it put together.

I noticed an immediate bump up of .2 MPG on the DIC and my first partial tank went up .6 MPG when I calculated it at the pump. I'm on my first full tank with the Rotofab CAI in and it appears to be giving me a noticeable increase in mileage....the top quarter was consistently getting 75 miles this tank got 80. it seems to require less pedal at cruzing speeds and definitely sounds louder when I step into it! going to do the exhaust next maybe Solo
