Car is at the chassis shop now. They are starting on the cage today. We are going to trial fit the seat later this week with me in there and the helmet on.

We are changing the steering wheel.. to this.

Here are the seats that are going in.
Wow I would never be able to sit in that seat!!!

why not? I weigh 260... fits like a glove. It is one of the widest racing seats made.

It is extremely comfortable.. once you get into position.

It seems that everyone is not telling or avioding the info we need. I'll look into it, cus I'm getting a Sparco EVO 2 for mine and I will have to trick the airbag issue also. I know the Vettes has a shop(s) out there devoloped for the C5 and C6 when the stock seat are removed. I'll keep you updated.

Prob around a 4 ohm. It's not much. Best way to be sure is read the resistance of the circuit with a meter. Sorry I just saw this. I will have to look at my 2010 and see where it would go to be exact and I'll read it with a meter and let you guys know. I've never done it with a new camaro so I know the resistor is what you Need and every one I've seen on other car was around 4 ohms I will check and be sure where it goes on the plug for the camaro before I guess wrong.

Thanks for doing that for us JLE58, I too am looking at doing this same thing so the resistor value and pin locations would be great.

The only resistors i found at radio shack that was close was 10 ohms. Also when i looked at the connection there were 3 wires. Black, Red/White, and Green. I was wondering where i would have to connect the resistor too. Connect red and green through the resistor? Red and black? I don't want to connect it to the wrong one, and something goes wrong and sets all the airbags off lol. Can anyone chime in?

Also there is the connection that connects the weight sensor. That makes the computer know that there is someone in the seat. Is there a way to trick that too?

So it looks like this thread just dropped off? Anyone ever sort out the seat air bag resistor and weight sensors that would be willing to post pics?

i think most of the people installing race seats are deleting the airbags (including myself)....

If you have a cage installed it defeats the airbags anyways so its just easier to remove them.

I could be wrong here, but I think when you do a full drag car setup most chassis guys will want to you to bolt your seats to the cage so in the case of a major accident the seats don't come loose.

Old setup of mine:

These looks like brackets that fit under the seat and raise it up. I am thinking of getting something that I can put side brackets on to keep it very low. How much lower than stock are your seats with these brackets on, if you don't mind me asking? Thanks

Pete
