talk to someone at Janetty. There is no places by me that i can take my car to tune it so i'm getting a mail tune from Janetty.

My CEL would go off about every two to three days, the onstar folks said it would after about seven start ups with full cool down and warm ups. So it is normal for it to see the switching come back and then turn off the light. Also if you have a L99 the remote start will not work if the CEL is on.
oh ok, so that's why the light disappeared. it's been off for about two days now. the tuner is getting delivered today so hopefully by tomorrow the car will have the new tune

Like Alain said, get an SCT tuner and tunes for life from Janetty or, if you have a PC laptop, buy a power-flash cable and software from Vector Motorsports, like I did, and get free tune updates for life from them. I believe both have scanners that allow you to scan and clear codes as well. I know Vector's also lets you do a scan as you drive and export it to an Excel table to review; not sure how the SCT's works though (?).

Pretty much once you tune the car your you put your warranty in jeopardy. You can always go back to the stock tune but GM will still be able to tell you tuned the car. A lot of warranty work depends on what kind of relationship you have with your dealership. If they are dicks then you're screwed !

Lots of things can trigger the light but they usually reset but it will come back. Just get it tuned. It will run WAY better after.
