Anniversary Trip
I'm starting to plan a trip for my wife and I to take next October (2008) for our 10th anniversary. I've been thinking about a Mediterranean cruise. We've been on several cruises in the past and love them, but I want to see what other ideas are out there. Do any of you have any recommendations? Where have you gone or what have you done for wedding anniversaries in the past? Any and all ideas are welcome...

Well, it isn't a cruise, but I'm sure it could be one....Hawaii is awesome. If you haven't been there, then you should go. Where in Hawaii would really depend on the things you like to do while on vacation.
We went there on our honeymoon, and I had been there 2 or 3 times before (with my parents on 2 of their "anniversary trips"). It was great. |

I really need to broaden my destinations for vacations, but the Virgin Islands just keep coming up. I've been there about 5 times now I guess. It is beautiful! You fly into St. Thomas and could stay there if you chose. It is a rather large island. But, we stayed in St. John and my favorite place to stay is Gallows Point right in the main, Cruz Bay. I'm sure you've watched worlds most famous beaches. Well, Trunk Bay is always on there at about #4 or so...

Hawaii would be awesome, I'm looking in to that.
Here are places we've been already: Bahamas (a few times) Bermuda Jamaica (Ocho Rios) St Maarten Mexico (Cabo, Cozumel) Miami, FL Orlando, FL Las Vegas I'm toying with maybe N.Y.C. or something closer to home too. (We live in the Washington D.C. area.) |

Wow all hot places. Maybe try Ireland or Europe.
Spent 2 weeks in Ireland and loved it! To many things to do and the way they live will make you want to stay. American dollar doesn't do much for you right now so that might be something to consider. |

Yeah, Ireland would be awesome. The currency issue is definitely something to keep in mind. I hadn't thought about that, thanks!

Well to be honest we had every hotel and night planned out which didn't help us in are favor.
There are hundreds and hundreds of B&B's and most of the ones we staye dat are family owned and they go above and beyond anything I would have expected. The Islands off Ireland are a nice 1day/1night trip. The castles, the tours, the beer, the whiskey and the great food! |
