Kooks Headers & Borla S-Type Exhaust Install Question??
I'm getting ready to install my Kooks Headers w/Hi Flow Cats and a Borla S-Type Catback Exhaust.
Kooks parts # 6511 & #6513 OEM Borla part # 140280 I have a couple of questions.... How does one elevate their Camaro high enough to install the Headers & exhaust? I do not have a Lift available or 24" Jack Stands....Options? How is the Kooks Cat (Part# 6513) attach to the Borla Exhaust? Both connections are 2 1/2" O.D. with no connector.....Do I use something from the Factory exhaust? Kooks did not supply any instructions for hooking up to aftermarket exhaust. Gotta say I purchased from Maryland Speed...They (Brandon) was great to deal with and gave a great price....Shipped with in a week to SoCal.

Use the clamps that connect the cats to the mid pipe from your factory exhaust.

Thanks for the tip on connecting the two...Reuse the Band Clamp....Got it!
Now to figure out how to Raise the Camaro high enough....and safe enough to swap them out.

I used the rhino rams and a pair of regular jack stands and it was high enough for me to get under the car and do everything fairly comfortably.

I have the same setup with a cam and whipple and it does sound great. I just hate the drone on the highway.

Every header install I have done I wished half way in I paid someone the $400 to do. IMO not worth the busted knuckles and hassles when a jack stand is the only option. Also FYI, this is the exact setup we run on our Camaro

Your going to love them. there's a nice performance differance with the Kooks or ARH compared to other off brands. Sure they cost a couple buck more, but its worth it. Ive had Kooks on my car for 10 years and no issues My neighbors might have an issue with them lol |

I have the same setup but added Solo J pipes to eliminate the drone.
