Heater Hoses (V8)
I don't know if this has been mentioned here, I haven't seen it... The heater hoses on the 2012 SS's have been relocated from the top of the engine to the right side of the engine and include a section of hard line (tubing). I noticed this at a car show today on C5 member SS2012's car. Now I have yet another option for relocating my heater hoses this winter.

I assume you mean the TechAFX pieces. Thats the only one I know of that had a hard line section. Mine will hopefully in the mail on Monday. Overpriced but they look real nice and I don't have the time to bend them myself.

No, these were factory hoses according to the owner. Car was built in August 2011. I had to show him on my car where the hoses used to be from the factory.

I've had a lot of people try to blow smoke up my butt at car shows so I dunno. Unless someone with a 2012 can post some pics...

I would like to see some other 2012 owners post up some pics too, just to be sure.

I just got some of the hoses off of Amazon... if there is a 2012 OEM solution... i might do that if it's not too expensive. Otherwise meh, i'll go with what I've got.

I've been looking at pictures online with the new 2012's. Although I haven't seen any super clear pictures it does look as if they relocated the hoses to the side instead of routing them ontop.

Very interested in this, I hate how the hoses run over the top of the intake.

I have confirmation that the GM parts exist, you'll just have to take my word on it.
FYI, miles cheaper than the aftermarket setup, but it is only heater hoses only, no fuel line reroute which I think is included in their kit.

Hmm now we just need a part number. So were these metal pipes like the TechFax ones or just rubber hoses

The Katech solution is only $39.99. How much is the GM part? |
