What you want can't happen.

Selling used axles is simple and they go like hot cakes in the classifieds OR the vendors will often take them as a trade on the 9" setup.

Call em and ask what they could do.

I think you can send them in and that can set them up to work with the kit. I'm pretty sure Ive Seen frank say that. Like huffed said it would be cheaper and better to just sell your axles and buy a 9 inch kit. I've got a set of axles I'll be selling after the IRS shootout dss axles 1000 hp I believe

We take our axles back in as trade on our 9" kits.
Or you can keep your billet outer stubs as they are the same as we use on our 9" kits, then send us your axles and we can shorten them.
Either way is fine with us, were easy to work with.

Give us a call if you have any questions.

Thanks
Chris

Yes, you would need a pumpkin. We offer either Strange Engineering or Moser pumpkins.
The Strange pumpkin we sell with our kit is the Pro-Iron, it is a bit larger and stronger the street case and fits with no cutting or grinding.
The Moser nodular case is bigger then Strange Pro-Iron and sometimes needs a bit tweeking with a hammer to fit but nothing major.
We can supply pumpkins and inner stubs in 31 or the big 35 spline versions.
Strange has the Truetrac in a 31 spline or they have the new 35 spline S-Trac available now.
Moser offeres the 35 spline Wavetrac as well.
Most of our customers opt for the 31 spline truetrac but more and more are going with the big 35 spline S-Trac or the Moser Wavetrac.

Here is some more information on our 9" kit.

Thanks
Chris

with your car being an auto and just under 600Hp i would wait a bit, 6 speed cars seem to have more of a problem at this level. i would suggest the axles though. our are the larger 30 spline (inside the boots) we had to go to them when we saw cars close to this break the smaller splined ones.

The GForce ones can be used with your stock diff now and then you can change just the stubs to work with a new 9" when you can upgrade it.

Your close Bruce but let me clarify, we design our products to be modular. Our outer stubs are the same for the OEM replacement axles or the 9", our inner stubs use a bolt together stub design allowing you to unbolt the stub and bolt on the 9" stub axle.
Only thing that would need to be modified is the axle bar length and we can shorten them in just 1-2 day turn around.
We also take our axles in on trade if you later decide to buy a 9" kit.
It's also very easy to sell our used axles, they go like hot cakes.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but is there any info out yet on the hammerhead 12 bolt rear end. I will be upgrading the rear end in my 10 2SS/RS M6 in the late winter/early spring and I am looking for all the info I can get on my options. The car will be used at the drag strip, as well as on the street and I am starting with the rear end upgrade. The car currently is just lt headers, fastlane cai, with a Jannetty tune.
