New ZL1 front bumper.

Now that we know that the ZL1 front bumper and hood will fit the SS cars how many will change out there front bumper.

I saw the thread with the ordered ZL1 bumper but I didn't see it mounted. So it's safe to assume it's going to fit without any "extra" work involved?

I posted a question about this the other week. I received mixed feedback. Basically, I think the ZL1 bumper looks incredibly mean and edgy so I think it would be a nice upgrade and not all-out posing…but maybe borderline…but worth it. With that said, I probably won't do it for a while as there are many other mods I'd put ahead of it.

Just curious....how is putting the "recognizable" ZL1 bumper on an SS any different from putting SS badges on a non-SS?

Ya GM stated in an online Q&A that the ZL1 cosmetic parts would not fit LS/LT/SS. Probably a half truth.

The SS badges say the car is an LS3/L99 vs a V6. The fascia is a cosmetic upgrade. If i put the T2 or T3 ports on my fascia does that mean my car will transform? No. Does having a V6 with the RS package make my wheels, which are the same as the stock SS wheels, a fake SS? Again, No. Its just a cosmetic appearance upgrade. It shouldn't be that big of a deal for people to customize their car their way. Sorry if the future ZL1 owners feelings get hurt b/c they feel there are too many knock off ZL1s out there. I dont think anyone will be installing the ZL1 fascia to intentionally mislead others that they have what they know they don't. Now if I go and install SS or ZL1 badges on my car then, yes, that would be stupid and insulting to Camaro owners. I for one have many pits, nicks, scuffs and scratches on my front fascia due to the thousands of miles of highway driving I have done. I would love to replace my fasica anyway and why not do it with a better looking one over stock?

It completely demolishes the RS/SS stock front bumper, and its the only part of my 2SS that I've ever wanted to change, aside from minor stuff like throwing on some sideskirts or something. If the price is right, I'll upgrade. I've already got enough power under the hood, but there's no comparison between the RS/SS and ZL1 front end.

You're not wrong.....it was mentioned several months ago when someone asked the same question about the parts fitting and the answer was no.....that is until i saw this thread just now.
