MPG

Just made an 800+ mile trip from Northern VA to North Carolina and back and average MPG = 25.9. First long trip with this car and I couldn't be more pleased . Thought I would share this good info.

Sweet! So there's hope to break 15, 20? I need a day off and a full tank.

I averaged 23-24 MPG on the C5 fest trip and I now have just over 4000 miles with the automatic.

Seems a little high. I've never gotten more than 22-23 with my A6 SS even with constant cruise control. Did you reset the computer before you started the trip ?

Computer was zeroed at the beginning of the trip. Before the trip I was getting about 19/20 around town.

I'll have to disagree with everyone and say that seems a bit low for the V6 and all highway driving. I averaged that in a crossover SUV on a vacation last summer, and one of the V8 Camaros I test drove got 27 over a 15 mile test drive, which included a hilly, curvy country road with a few stoplights in city traffic mixed in.

How fast did you set the cruise, and was the A/C on?

low for the V6? yes.
But he has an SS

15 miles will tell you nothing of the fuel economy. It starts to go down pretty quick when you get more miles on it.

This baby is a SS/V8 and cruise was set at 65/70, AC was on. Climbed several mountains in western NC and coasted down the other side but most travel was on interstate.
