Hurst billet shifter install ?

I went to install the shifter today and my car had the Allen recessed bolts and I striped one. Is there anything I can do short of dropping the drive shaft and exhaust to get it out. I can't be the only one who has done this. Help me out.

Damn, that sucks and I know what you mean. Even though I didn't strip mine I could see how you did it. Did you use an swivel adapter to hold the socket? If you stripped it out bad, maybe you can try to take the boot off from the top of the car and drill the old stripped bolt out? Might be easier to just drop the pipes.

I'm going to try a dremel with a flex attachment and see if I can cut a slot for a flat head bit. If that don't work I'm going to cut the flange off of the shifter retainer ring around the bolt and use a small set of vice grips. If that don't won't drop the pipes and shaft and drill. I'll let u know
