BTW got another LS3 coming! So, you'll have two camaro5 members to run with LS3's

hey Pat. very glad to finally meet you after all these years.

sucks that they shut down the track for about what, 2 hours? hope you guys got another run in.

don't feel bad about the lack of runs, I had a great time. I love sitting in line talking to people about our cars.

we will do this again!

I have to laugh at a lot of comments in this thread. A SS camaro is fast but its not a consistent 12.4-12.5 fast STOCK. A 6.4 srt will walk a SS. A .5 sec difference in the 1/4 is a lot. If you want proof just go to the track. As far as the weight difference its really not that much. The horsepower is a decent differnce and the torque difference is way in favor of the SRT8. Also if you pull up dyno graphs....look at the power curves vs. peak hp/tq the srt8 wins that as well. Just pointing out relevant facts is all.

your facts are accurate. we had a fun time.

wish we could of got as couple more runs but an accident shut the track down for 2 hours. then the lines were way to long. I think several people never got a pass in.

If it ran what my 392 just ran a few days ago in the near 90 degree heat. Not so good. LOL.

I could only muster a best of 12.5's @ 112 all day. Most of my runs were 12.6's @ 111 DA was near +3000.

A few modded SS M6's were only running high 13's low 14's all day. I was a really bad day for alot of people.

only got 2 passes in, temps not good. I ran a 12.8@110. the 2 camaros, only run I saw was a 13.5 and 13.6. not sure on mph. they did stay late after the 2 hour accident at the track to try ro get another pass in. not sure if it happened. lines were way to long. some people waiting, did not get one pass in.

mods on the LS3...? If so that must have been a horrible DA? or driver error. A stock Ls3 will usually run mid 13's here in Florida heat......

I dont know about the ones Dadstoy was running but the couple I saw in G-Ville had the basic bolt ons. CAI, catback and tune. It was a really crappy night. Everybody was running worse than normal. DA was bad. Even some modded 5.0's were only running mid to upper 12's. There was an auto 392 IE Challenger out that was only running 12.9's-13.3's @ 108. I ran him once and he wanted to know what was done to mine. I pulled a 12.600 @ 112 on him. I told him the only thing I have done is the "driver mod".

Umm...why do people always ask if they'll win or lose or get spanked. Just do it unless ur scared, and come back and then let us know what happened
