Exclamation Fontana, CA Street Legal Drags have been outlawed!

This morning, I loaded my racing goodies, drag slicks, floor jack, race helmet, et cetera for today's racing. When I got there, I discovered that we was done wrong. The track was NOT available, the poor fellah at the gate apologized and handed me a slip of paper explaining that some mofo residents near the track have obtained a reversal of the Superior Court decision to allow our racing. The say it's too loud, whatever. The NASCAR track adjoining ain't loud??? What the ****!!??

This comes on top of our every Thursday evening 1/8 mile strip at Irwindale closing last week. :(

WHAT DO THESE PUNKS WANT? THE END OF DRAG RACING ENTIRELY? IT IS AN OUTRAGE!

Sounds like a bunch of Prius owners are complaining. If you don't want to hear the noise from Fontana, don't move to the local area. I guess we should close all the airports too since they are "loud".
Street legal drags are held at many dragstrips across the U.S. to help decrease the amount of street racing. Considering how big the car culture is in SoCal, the closure of the street legal drags will encourage street racing.

This sounds just like a story that we had hear involving a gun range. We have a shooting range here that has been around for like 50 years. This shooting range is out in the sticks. Some developer built some houses near the range recently. He then petition the courts to get the range closed because it would affect the sales of his new homes or something. The range got shutdown.

An update: there may be a re-moving of the drag strip to where it was originally, in the center of the NASCAR oval, or possibly in a third location at the Autoclub Speedway where the "cursčd noise" of great cars will be nullified by the erection of sound deflecting walls. Whichever it may be, there will be NO racing at the current drag strip.

That happened to 2 Ranges here in North Texas. One was out in between 2 cities where no one but a bunch of ranchers lived. Development was built and a ordinance passed, shutting both down. One was used by alot of PD's for tactical training. THe other one had 4 different range lengths, tactical, and skeet.

This happens nationwide to airports, gun ranges and our beloved drag strips. Tracks get sued and buried by developers. Airports get noise complaints and some developers try to close the airport and buy the land to build houses/strip malls on. Here in Tucson people complain about the Air Force Base all the time.

These communist's have no idea what the sound of freedom really is.
