I'm going to have to change the oil in about 3 weeks. Can't wait to drain my Mike Norris catch can and see what goodies I have collected! hahahahah

Your intake will be a lot cleaner. It has been suggested that there are positive side effects to not having oil vapor in the combustion chamber, like less knock and more efficient burn.

I just spent a half hour trying to search for this but....

To back way up.... Has anything ever been released from Chevy, Ford or whoever that has a PCV setup like this to explain why this "problem" has not been remedied over the years?

I would like to know what the manufacturers have for an explanation as to why this system is built like this.... Why doesn't any of these cars already come with the catch can?

I am just not completely sold...

P.S.-I watched the video and I don't think any of us would have any oil left in our pans after 1000 miles!!..........

PCV does exactly what it is supposed to. Those that know this, and don't like the long or short term effects, do something about it. It's a mod.

Why not have a catch can from the factory? 99.999% of the people would forget to empty the can or prefer not to.

You don't have to be sold. If it doesn't make sense to you, don't buy one.

Good points, hopefully I was able to get mine out. I think I will start with some other mods.

I've had mine on and off several times as I would love to run without. But during the times when I've gone without, and have my air intake off, there is a lot of oil on the back of the throttle body and sitting in the intake manifold. The nasty stuff that I see in the can during the winter months puts it over the top for me.

Shouldn't there also be a line going to the inlet of the centri/turbo intake so the crankcase is being relieved of pressure/vapors etc. when the car is under boost.

Or should a 2nd can be installed that Tees into the line that connects to the valley cover port/drivers side valve cover and the other going to the inlet tube just prior to the centri/turbo

I know RX makes a dual valve can for this exact situation.
I sent you a PM did you get it? Respond with your thoughts.

It cant.....it is only configured for NA. And, anyone that is willing to do the pull through test I will send you the clear glass filter kit free so you can see the amount of oil pull through.

This may be the only way to get people paying attention to what matters most when choosing a catch can. The way I see it if a can doesn't work that well, maybe the manufacturer will make the needed changes to bring up their efficiency.

Yeah I give big Props to Tracy for mentioning other cans and saying they are good.

Moroso Oil Separator...

It's been about 1100 miles since the Moroso install. Was able to drain a few onces of oil. At the same time, there is no gunk or oil buildup where the hose from the separator enters the intake.... Again confirming that the Moroso Oil Separator is doing it's job very effectively. It's definitely a keeper.

Well???
The topic was about the Moroso Oil Separator..... it wasn't about brand 'X' vs. brand 'Y'. Moroso functions extremely well for me... end of story. No hard feelings.
