Any reason why the v6 drive shaft bolted up to the diff? I mean every single thread says you need the back half of the SS drive shaft. magic?

So far while driving around town I def notice a difference. All I gotta do is get on it a little and I can get thrown back into my seat. Only down side is I'm gonna go through a lot more gas now haha. Also didn't take long to get my new tune to recalibrate my speedometer so kudos to Vince at Trifecta, took longer to load the tune in my car than it did to send an email and get the new tune.

Honestly I have no idea. The only thing I can think of is everyone just assumed since it was a diff from the ss you needed the ss driveshaft and none ever bothered to try to bolt up the v6 driveshaft. Although 6bangerboom said he didn't need the ss driveshaft either. The only noticeable difference between the v6 and ss driveshaft is that the ss driveshaft is beefier prob to handle the more tq that the ss has.

AWESOME job Kevin. Be sure to keep us updated. Many want to know how this works in the 1/4 mile. Also, what is the RPM's now in 6th gear at 70 MPH, curious as to how much change this 3.91 alters the RPMS's

So on my way to work today set the cruise control to 70 and it looks like my RPMs at that speed are about 2300. I think before they were below 2000 can't remember, but I'm sure you know.

Kevin,

I checked this morning, automatic in 5th gear at 70 MPH is turning 2310 RPM's.

So this gear swap is like driving around in 5th gear all the time for those concerned with the RPM's

Didn't need a V8 Driveshaft huh? I been looking at getting a LSD rear end change. Looking at putting the 3.27 Auto SS rear end gears with an option to upgrade to 3.73's when I want to. I just want to get both wheels to ground a lot firmer! This just gave me a cheaper way to achieving that goal!

Nope the stock v6 driveshaft bolted right up! So not sure why everyone says you need a v8 driveshaft, maybe cause it's thicker and won't break as easily? Idk

I am gonna have to email Vince to up my rev limiter...with the 3.91s its so much easier to hit 7000.

So a few weeks after I installed my sway bars I started hearing a clunking sound whenever I would be turning and going up a hill. After some research I found out that most likely my stock rear end links were shot. Well I finally got around to ordering a set of LSR adjustable end links and installed them a couple weeks ago. From looking at the stock ones I couldn't tell if they were shot or not but the LSR ones didn't cost that much and they seemed to have fixed the problem. So here are some pics

Great change over Kevin that should make the car turning stability a little more stable nice up grade.
