Camaro LS3 L99 3D Scan for CAD

Hey everyone I recently received access to a 3D scanner and I have been scanning and reverse engineering parts for the 2010-2012 Camaro. I use a laser scanner that records XYZ data points from physical parts and converts them into data that I can use to produce 3D CAD models.

I am wondering if there are any racers out there that would be interested in the CAD data of the Camaro BIW or similar parts. I read threads from time to time about people questioning if their mods will fit under the hood and with proper CAD data you can take accurate measurements before you purchase the parts.

Below is a picture of the LS3 that I recently completed with an LS7 type intake.

Let me know your thoughts, thanks.

No, there are no legal issues. I am not using GM's proprietary CAD data, I am creating my own. Of coarse there will be subtle differences from car to car but I believe it would be an overall great resource for the forum and its members.

Here is the 5th gen manual shifter that I modeled a few months ago. The great thing about it is that I can save my models in 3D PDF format and you can open the files and take measurements straight from the file. It is useful for checking tolerances and seeing if new mods will fit in your engine bay.

Cool, we have a 3D scanner where I work to check the parts we make before sending them to the customers.
