Test Drives? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So are most dealers that actually have cars that aren't sold letting people test drive them or are they just having them sit in the show room? I'm going to stop in at a dealer that according to their website has a 2SS in stock, but I doubt they'll let me test drive it since I'm only 20 (21 in a week). Anybody get to test drive a dealer car yet?

Thats cool. I know quite a few have driven the cars, but I didn't know for sure. I've just seen a lot of pictures of the cars sitting in the showrooms or fresh off the truck.

Several dealers will let you test drive it. It's their car to do with as they please so if they want to sell it without letting people sit in/test drive it, that's their perogative.

The local chevy dealer here won't. I know I got to test drive my new mustang before I even planned on getting it. I am 16. I would like to test drive a camaro though.

Where are you at in Indiana? I'll let you know if they let me drive it tomorrow. I mean I'm not going to buy the one they've got there, but hell maybe if they are a cool dealership and let me drive it when I plan on ordering one in a couple years I could order from them.

My dealer has one on the floor (IOM 2SS/RS that's sold) and a 2LT/RS coming in but that's strictly for the floor. No test drives. Oh well. Mine will be here soon enough and I'll just drive that.

my dealer has nothing. and that is annoying. i have still yet to see one at all. my dealer better let me test drive

Indianapolis. Hubler is the closest Chevy dealer. They told me they sold their SS's $15k above sticker.

I got to drive a 1LT at my dealer on Saturday. Champion Chevrolet on HWY 6.

I got to drive one today at Colonial South in Datrmouth, MA. a 2LT/RS... being young, you may find it more difficult to test drive an SS. Just show confidence when you ask for a test drive. Let them know that you are serious about purchasing a Camaro and they could be losing a customer if they refuse. You'll get one to let you sooner or later.

Paradise Chevrolet in Temecula, Ca will let you test drive their 2LT that is all decked out with options for 1 mile. They are trying to keep the mileage down and still allow people to get a feel for the car.
