Just ordered and have question

I live in Illinois and just ordered my camaro last week. I was told 6 to eight weeks but while reading some of the posts it seems a lot of people are getting a lot long wait times? Does 6 to 8 weeks seem to short. I will be really pissed if I was lied to by the dealer. Also how soon after the order is placed does the dealer get the VIN number?

How about 1 to 2 years..

Guessing better than 10 to life..

Honestly, they can't give better specifics at rate the orders are going in/cars coming out..just hope that the dealership/you survive to see the car.

I put my order in a couple of weeks ago and was given the range of October to December based on when Chevy gives them more allocations

We get them when we get them.
GM is working as fast as they can.
They will add Saturdays in June and
they are not closing the last week of June
as planned before.

There is a lot of information on this site.
Start reading.

I think it all depends on when your dealer
gets the order into them also.
My dealer asked how much I was going
to put down. I think that has something
to do with the ordering process too (JMO).

Ordered: 2SS/RS||Silver Ice Metallic||Black Leather||Sunroof

God I hope it doesn't take that long. If I don't get the car in before the weather starts to get bad then I might was well wait for the next ones to come out.

8 Weeks would be best case for sure. You should know more in a month and some reading around these forums. Production is picking up so who knows... An estimate is just that. Some things your dealer just can't control and delivery is one of them now.

I understand they don't have any control over it, and I would rather have it built right then have problems. I'm just excited to see it and drive it, but not to make the payments. lol

I was told 6-8 weeks was what they were hoping for, but that was the average for any order... That was six weeks ago and I doubt I'll be getting my car before June.
