Gasoline: Premium or Plus?

If your going with the higher octane gas are you going all the way to premium or just going to do plus and i guess you could also switch back and forth?

Is it true that you shouldn't switch back and forth ... I thought mid range should be fine.

Premium

Look at it this way, premium is only .20 more. On a 30 gallon tank you are only talking a mere $6! Why not use the premium?

You boys and girls are lucky down in the states ... Gas in Canada cost a hell of a lot more. Regular Gas last summer got upto $1.50 a litre CDN.

If my HHR is any indication,I get much better fuel economy using 92 octane than 87,at least 2or 3 miles per gallon, drove from Canton NC to Indianapolis in on 12 gallons,Car idles smoother and responds better with higher octane...

You forgot another option, "Depends on if regular goes back up to $4 a gallon." Here, for 3 months straight last year premium was $1-$1.50 more then regular and that was IF you could find it.
