SLP Harmonic Balancer / 25% Underdrive Pulley for a 2010-2012 Camaro V6

http://www.phastekperformance.com/20...er-100232a.htm

what exactly does this do? will this really add noticeable hp and tq? how hard is it to install and will it void my warranty or cause any problems? Lastly, do i need anything to run with this or can i only buy this and install it?

The advantage is not worth the disadvantage.

Underdrive pulleys feature a larger diameter than the stock pulley. Since the crank pulley drives the serpentine belt system, the accessory pulleys effectively rotate few timers with each rotation of the crankshaft. This frees up additional horsepower, but has the disadvantage of lowering accessory effectiveness. For example, the air conditioning system won't be as effective with an underdrive pulley installed

Not to high jack this thread but has anyone had problems with the harmonic balancer or the crank pulley/crankshaft? My car has been the shop for over a week now. Maybe someone can point me to another thread if one has been started.

I think Blade has one, or another old school member if they can chime in. I was going to get one. IMO: if you want FULL bolt on's then it is worth it, but there are so many more things to get with that much leverage for alot more power. It was ideal before ported manifolds and insulators came into the picture

I think that is the first thing for the car to go wrong, as well as eating the oil

I'm just old lol. Yeah, I've had mine on for the better part of 20 month's now with no problems.

A little on the pricey side, I paid about $365 including my Chevy dealer install labor charge.

I'm staying NA for now so wanted all the simple bolt-ons that are offered to this point,

Waiting on my MACE ported IM and have the plenum spacer laying in wait.

Back to the track soon.
