GM Card
I went to my GM card account to see how much i could use on a new camaro, however it isn't listed. So how do you find out how much your card qualifies to use on a new vehicle? I assume it would be the same as the amount i could get off a Corvette which was $1000.

be sure to make your dealer aware before hand as they have to file for the credit and get it approved a few days in advance.

Do you just tell them that you have a GM credit card (I do)?

I just used mine yesterday. $1000. No need to get it approved days ahead, mine did it a couple hours before I picked the car up. And I've used the earnings in the past with no notice at all. They just call a number and get it approved right then and there.

i have the gm world card on the old plan where you get $500 a year and $3500 max. Both GM card and the dealership told me all $3500 can be used.

Negative. Read the terms and agreement of the card. The max you will be able to use is $1000. It pissed me off when I saved up $3300, but found out that I could only use a $1000. After I use my GMcard savings, I'm closing out the credit card.

I probably won't close it, but I won't be using it anymore. Interest is insane compared to other cards.

The GM card is BS, you can only use 1000 to start with. I learned my lesson and cancelled it when they wouldnt let me use the card with GMS.

The OLD card can be used for whatever the balance is, the balance decreases after 5 or 7 years mine loses $220 next month, but if car comes in I can use balance of $3800 it now has.

to bad it doesn't work like the Subaru credit card. The Subaru card lets you save up money for parts and service.

Am I reading correctly that GM is still honoring the GM Card? Somewhere here I thought I had read that the card is no longer being honored on new car purchases.

Well. A $1000 bucks is a 1000 bucks. If you can get it then do it.
