I know this mod does not appeal to some, but you gotta admire the ideas and guts what some will do to their rides. While I wouldn't mind doing this to my car, I can't because of my job.

Not a fan of this, but on the other hand it does draw interest. The application looks like it was well applied.

I can guarantee you that had that color been a factory paint option there would be more than a few of them cruising the streets that way.

And what about that makes it look cheap? It's the same exact look as a $10,000 flat black vinyl wrap on a Lamborghini Aventador? Surely you aren't going to call that cheap?

A. It looks sinister. B. The only reason he did this was to protect the paint because he races it often. Settle down folks.

SMH, who said anything about me putting this on my v6? Perfect example of my high horse post. WTF does look cheap/useless mean when it looks exactly like a vinyl wrap? So by your logic more money= better quality.

thing is it doesn't look the same in person.. it's rough and looks like bed liner..

it's greyish, not black, and it will start to peel at some point.

a vinyl wrap has smooth texture and in pretty dark like black should be.

To each their own. As an aethetic mod I don't like it personally. But for the intended protective purposes, it is pretty creative.

I think I will Plastidip my rear quarters next trip the the drag strip rather than using tape like some others to minimize damage from melted rubber and kick up from the track.
