First post

This is my first post, and I will keep it as much to the point as possible to avoid verbal B.S.

I will try not (it’s tough) to gripe too much about allocations, VONs, and VINs. I went through all that in 09 when I ordered and bought my other car.

6 months of anger and frustration, “YOU ALL KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!”

Now for my question.

I am hoping to put an order in for a ZL1 in the next couple of months and just wanted some input on build and wait times.

If it took 2 months, 8 months, or in-between before you got your wheels let me know. I just want to get an idea how long it will take to get this car if I put an order in (if I can even get one).

Thanks

search around at different dealerships, there are two ZL1's for sale at dealerships here.

Sorry, I bought mine straight off the lot the day it showed up. We were there picking up a crystal red 12' ss for the wife and they showed me three zl1's that were unloaded that day, an all black vert, crystal red and ashen gray. Guess I lucked out.

I grew up in Port Arthur in the /60s, ernie. Welcome to C5.
My wait from first order (two dealerships were ultimately involved) to delivery was 11 months.

I am located in Marathon 3 hours from you and have been at this since May11/12 with two different dealers. I currenty have one on order with a Thunder Bay GM dealer (with an allocation of 1 unit) since Aug.15/12 and don't even have a build date yet. Good Luck!

14 months I tried to get one before my local dealer finally got 1 allocation and from order to delivery was 10 weeks. Just find a dealer that doesn't play Bullsh$&t games because it is what it is when it comes to availability on these.

Search Ebay, Cars.com, etc.. You'll be able to find one easily. They are all over, just find a dealer that won't jerk you around.

Mine took 6 months; there was no anger or frustration, just impatience. If waiting is going to make you angry then do not order, buy one on a lot.

Do a search of dealerships, there are ZL-1's sitting on the floor. I can't imagine having to wait so long. I searched....found one I liked and went to the Dealer. Left with it the next day!
