LOL! She took the picture without me knowing to show her friends what fun we have during our spare time!!! Hey.... the carpet was the best place not to get any damage to the dash's. The 2010 dash is still standing up in my weights/workout room!
Any takers????

I installed the Gen5diy Mylink w/Nav about 4 months ago and it has been running great up until yesterday when the Bluetooth stopped working correctly. I found this out when my calls stopped going through bluetooth.

I figured it was a pairing issue, so I tried to repair my phone. When I clicked the "Pair Phone" button, the radio makes the normal beep showing I pushed a button but nothing else happens. When I try to delete my phone I paired previously, the Mylink hangs at the deleting phone screen and I have to power it off. I deleted the pairing from my phone and tried to reconnect and it gives me a connection error.

Besides the bluetooth, everything else seems to work. I don't subscribe to Onstar, but I did try the onstar button on my mirror and it connected. The bluetooth icon on the Mylink also is lit, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Anyone had a similar issue or have any idea what I need to do to fix this?

Started working again this evening, so I will hold off. The only thing out of the ordinary is I triggered the theft deterrent system Friday morning. I don't know if that would have any impact on the Bluetooth, but it's working now. If it acts up any more, I'll give you guys a call.

Thumbs down

Pretty crappy that GM did not add HD Radio to the Camaro MyLink!

I installed Mylink NAV from Gen5DIY about a week ago. Everything works fine I think, but one thing I was wondering about is I have Onstar and when i call and ask for a "Destination Download" so it will go to my map data base it doesn't do it. It just gives Turn by Turn without using the NAV Map. I asked Onstar why that is and they said because it isn't the original system in my car. Are they correct or is it suppose to work. If you don't know what I mean it is on page 63 of the mylink manual.

Sabin ZL1, just forget about using the OnStar's stupid Turn-by-Turn Navigation. What you have with the MyLink with Navigation is 100 percent BETTER. I did the same upgrade and when I renew my OnStar Service I dropped the Turn-by-Turn part of it.

Ya that is what I'm going to do. I was just wondering. I still have a month of it free. I don't like the turn by turn onstar has. By the time i get the directions I have passed the road they are telling me to turn on especially in a city.

How difficult is this install? Is it 100% plug and play, do I need to replace the shark fin on the car? Thanks.

I did this in my 11 2SS. Pretty much pnp. There are videos and excellent instructions from Gen5Diy with the kit. I have some details on my build thread..

I added this last year, it was straight forward and all the instructions are complete. The only thing you may want to look into is the door locks. The MyLink does not have the lock/unlock button. One other smaller item; the light bulb that lights the shifter position in the center console. The wire is a little short and requires a little work to get it all to fit. It does fit!!!

Is the new my-link the current update? or do we have to get with GM to update to current version?

Anyone update the maps yet for the NAV? is there a update?

On this end the software is the most current version, and as of yesterday there was no new map's from GM for the Mylink.
