stock air intake

was the test one with the stock air filter ? ---have u tried a after market filter
with the stock air box ? I bet there wont be any where of a big difference
with a k/n drop filter or other with stock box. The filter is the restriction

If your running a supercharger and you had it tuned with the K&N then Yes you would need to Retune for the CAI.
I expect you would pick up about 10 RWHP.

I am sorry to inform you that your information is Incorrect, the filter does Nothing in the stock air box I have tested it many times.

In fact I tested the stock air box with the stock Filter, with a Drop in filter, and No filter and the difference was Not measurable.

On this car the Stock air box had a K&N Drop in filter in it.

Ted.

I wonder if this thread is why we have sold more Supercharger applications in the last month than we typically do in 2-3 months, maybe its just that time of year where everyone wants to go FAST!! Its nice to see the weather warming up around here and people getting their cars back out on the road!

Interesting read you have here. I'll be installing a Magna charger next month and I'm torn between the CAI intake and Fastlane's Pipeline system. Think leaning toward CAI but still on fence.

What's different with the blower application over the regular one?

What's the advantage?

The tubes are different. Regular = solid tube. Blower = 2 piece tube. Same box and filter though.

I think the angle of the turn is less drastic in the regular version as well if I recall what Ted told me. I still have the one CAI entered in the Jannetty Test in 2009. Still perfect.

Thanks!

I think it's onlythe piping that is different Jamie to work with the supercharger in question.
Sometimes Ted modifie the regular one to fit the s/c setups.
