Parking lot trouble

So early today I went to Lowes to gather some parts to fix my leaking toilet. I parked in the parking lot far from all the other cars as I normally do. I was in there for about 10 minutes tops, or maybe a few minutes extra.

I come out to my car and just force of habit I always walk around the car before getting into it and driving off. I notice that either someone or something scraped the side of my car. Though it's not dent, more scraped paint. I was still pissed off !!!

A few days ago I went into home depot to buy something, and once again I park far away. I didnt even properly walk a few feet away, and some lady pulls up right beside me. (with all this open space-really?!!) As she got out I asked her, you think you could have parked any closer?

I thinking about going to a bodyshop to have it fixed. But I just wanted to see what other suggestions other members could offer me inregards to fixing my car? Thxs !!!

What you think the general damage would be for that job- roughly? Though its small I know they'll have to do the whole front fascia all over. But it's cool I have a few rock chips from driving over the palisades anyway.

You telling me !! I'm really trying to figure out how people's thought patterns work. Cause somewhere along the line you have to stop and say to yourself- "No.... This isn't going to work isn't it?" I mean really?!!!!

If you repaint the front, I'd recommend clear bra'ing it too to prevent future rock chips from happening.

They would probably have cameras if the police asked. Most stores won't give it to just anyone.

And thier insurance company will reward them for having a safe driving record (not turning in a claim). Wish insurance companies would stop this stupidity. I had the same thing happen to me, just not as bad.

And that is why my car never leaves the driveway in Queens. Lucky enough to have a nice sized driveway at my shop though when I go to work. My Scion on the other hand had it's side mirror ripped off by a bus as our shop is on the street of a bus route. Can't leave anything nice on the streets these days.....

Hope everything works out for you.
