its basically sanding /polishing the excess metal on the inside of the IM, in the inlets and what it does is create better air flow. Both RX and MAce have them, think its like 350$ or so and they send you a ported one and you ship back your old one. or you can keep yours if you want. I picked up about 30 hp, peak on my mace stage 3

anyways, so I am planning on the installation this coming wknd.. now the thing is I can do it at the auto hobby shop on base or at home.. Thing is I dont want to start on base and not be able to finish in the time there open for and have to leave my car... Ca I do one side at a time.. and if I run outta time.. drive with one side stock and the other BBK???? I mean the auto hobby shop has lifts available and all tools I could probably need.. at home, I will have all tools too because Ill go buy what I need and have air compressor for air tools but I would have to work on stands.. which idk if I wannna go...

Try to bring a friend or two. You should be able to do it in 6 hours or less. Make sure you get there right when they open. Just installed long tubes on our v6 in 5.5 hours, but that included fabing up some extension pipes to replace the cats.

Also, I would NOT recommend installing one side only and driving it.

Call me lazy lol, but it is what it is. But doing something like SOLO HFC is very appealing to me so that could happen eventually...but not sure. Headers or HFC is really the only mod left I haven't done.
Selling an ABM?! Blasphemy!

oh dang, sorry I missed this post. just used regular socket set. a racheting flat wrench is helpful. extra hands is helpful, but not needed. they are helpful, so that they can go up from the bottom of the car and hold up the header while you start bolting them on. stuff like that.

good luck man!

A vice grip and a lot of strength. Even used a hammer on them.
