Still shows $141 for 1 day only $7 discount... This is on a LT @ BWI Airport..... The funny thing is Avis must have recently raised their rates because a month ago I got one from the Dulles Airport Avis for $100/day now its up to $148 a day before tax's/surcharges etc...

They are going for $151 at all the Texas airports I have checked. Showing same price for LT and SS.
Strange it does not show them at SA Intl but I have seen a few in the parking lot. |

I rented a 2LT for a weekend and my rate was $74 a day. I resevered a fullsize and i upgraded to the camaro for this rate. I changed my rental during the weekend to a full week rental for $370. Airport rental fee's and taxes in the end added another $60 after my return, so if you can find one not at an airport rental office, it'll probably be cheaper on fee's and speacial taxes.
I REALLY LOVED THAT CAR, i put over 1200 miles on it. I just wish it was a SS instead. |

I've posted the same information on several other threads re Avis rental rates. I was told to get the best pricing to reserve a full-sized vehicle and then upgrade at the counter. The counter can give better discounts and can even negotiate. We reserved a full-sized at a rate of $44/per day and when we asked about the upgrade were quoted initially at $88/per day. My husband negotiated it down to $65 per day. Although it was a 1LT and that could have a huge bearing on the pricing and of course pricing will vary by location. I've been trying to find the pricing out for SF but even though the website says SFO has them if you try to reserve they show sold out. And I don't have time lately to sit on the phone calling the location to confirm they received their Camaro's and how many they have. And asking if they are 1LTs, 2LTs or 2SS is like speaking a foreign language to the desk people. They in most cases couldn't even tell me if it was a V6 or V8. So I had to ask is there this slot type thing on the front bumper and they are I don't know the cars are too far away from the desk to see. UGH

I like the idea of reserving a full size and then upgrading at a way cheaper rate. I plan on renting an LT from the Orlando International Airport hopefully by the end of the month. I just want it for a day to see how it drives and make sure I need to have the car, LOL but my main concern with reserving a full size would be they wouldn't have any camaros on site when I get there!
Right now with a couple different discount codes I'm finding $153 for a day which includes the ridiculous taxes. I'm almost willing to just pay that and reserve it to make sure I get the LT. Has anyone known of any circumstances where they've reserved the camaro and then got there and they didn't have any? |

Does anyone know of any in the Tri-State Area or Westchester County? I called up Avis and they were the biggest jerks.

There isnt any to rent in my area, ive been checking online alot almost everyday, or even drive by the local airport, i live near it so i dont mind taking a cruise in the rental terminal looking for it sometimes a week.
i live in a big town (not major town) but not sure why there isnt any yet. i wonder when itll be available for rent. |
