turbonetics diablo tune will not load!!! any ideas????

I am getting the code PCM: error seed/key (-1) . I understand this happens when the car has an existing tune, but MINE DOES NOT!! , it is the factory tune! now my engine was replaced awhile back under warranty - not sure if that matters. every time I try to upload the tune I als get "service stabilitrac" and "service parking assist". I also have 2 codes for throttle position p0122, p0223 that are coming up. I just had a turbo kit installed so I need this tune to drive!!! any ideas???

Just an idea but try disconnecting the battery for 15-30 minutes then reconnect and try again. If not I think you will have to call Diablo and see what they say.

so the diablo tech guy (on their forum) said its an issue with the GM tune and they will need to update it and unlock it...I will call diabl to verify tomorrow . if that's the case, can I drive the car very slowly to the dealer with the turbo etc installed? its only 5min away. and any idea whether the dealer will do this for free?? seems to me they should...its an issue they created...

You tuning it with a hand held tuner? You might have your reason for that but why not a dyno tune? But good luck with it man!

im using the tune that came with the kit for now. once the car is running fine etc. I will be deleting the cats and going with a dyno tune. neither of those matter right now though since there is no way to access the ECM because its locked.

Did you ever get this resolved?

How do you like the Turbonetics kit?

i did get it resolved! had to pull my PCM and send it to Diablo...they said the PCM was not locked at all and the issue was in the predator tune supplied by turbonetics. I guess it conflicts with the tuner I dunno...but they pulled the files off it, converted the predator back to a universal one (vs a turbonetics one) and the files went back on and loaded just fine on to my PCM. this is what I was told by diablo. BOTH predators turbonetics sent me didn't work.

cost be 150 to have the PCM updated because i thought it was locked, and about a week with my car down. I told turbonetics about the issue and enquired about it 3x with no response.

So how do you like the car with the turbo? Still thinking of getting a custom tune?

I got a dyno tune at CMS 2 days ago. did a cat delete and 7lb springs. man the car came alive!! honestly, before I was ho hum...now I am like hell yeah! it puts down 555/559 now and the graph is pretty damn smooth too. car feels much better at lower rpm and pulls much harder in boost with no flat spots/hesitation/cutting out like the canned tune had.

I certainly notice it at times. it smells like my dads old hot rods lol. its worse after a cold start. or when you back up into it. most of the time though its not too bad.if you sit and idle a lot you will be more likely to smell it. driving? you don't notice it at all.
I would be more concerned about your family not likeing the sound level lol. its damn loud !! I have nothing in my exhaust now. no res, no mufflers etc...I might grab some flow through mufflers to deepen the rasp - which is also worse after a cold start. once warmed up it isn't quite as raspy.
